Spring 2023- Home Education Students - State Assessment Registration
Please read the following information before registering. By registering, you are agreeing to the requirements listed below.
Please fill out the registration below in order to sign up for the Spring 2023 state assessments: FAST Progress Monitoring 3 for Grades 3-10 ELA and/or Grades 3-8 Math, EOCs (Algebra 1, Biology 1, Civics, Geometry, US History), or Statewide Science Assessment for Grades 5 and 8 assessments to be administered in May 2023.
You will be assigned to your zoned school for testing. You will be notified by St. Lucie Public Schools as to your assigned school. You will need to contact your assigned school for your scheduled date/time and other information. You MUST complete all sessions of each test in order to receive a score.
You must be on time on your scheduled date. There will be no makeup dates. If you are not present on time at your scheduled time, you will need to wait until the next FSA or NGSSS administration in Spring 2023.
You MUST be registered with the St. Lucie School District as an active Home Education student in order to test. The address posted in your records will be the one used to assign you to your zoned school for testing. You will only be permitted to test at the school assigned to you by the District. You will not be permitted to make arrangements with other schools for testing.
You will receive information via email as to your assigned school for your testing site. You will then need to contact the school for information regarding your testing date(s) and time(s).
The registration deadline for the Spring 2023 (opens May 1) state assessment administration is April 3, 2023.
No late registrations will be accepted, as schools have to prepare for the needed number of testing rooms and test administrators. You will receive your assigned testing site information/confirmation email by April 10, 2023.
Students (or their parents) must have government issued picture ID (driver license, passport, etc.) in order to be admitted to test. If the student does not have this ID, the parent must have government issued picture ID.
Students must be in approved dress code in order to be admitted to testing. http://www.stlucie.k12.fl.us/pdf/DressCode.pdf
You will need to contact your assigned testing school to find out your scheduled date and time, as well as any specific rules they may have regarding drop off and pickup. Please note that you must follow all the rules for testing, which include the "No electronic devices" and "No leaving campus" policies.
Students cannot leave before their test session allotted time is complete, even if they have completed the session. In addition, students cannot return to complete a session if they left campus prior to completing a session.
The State has a strict electronic device policy. Students will not be permitted to have any electronic device anywhere within reach during testing. If they are found with any electronic device, whether they use it or not, their test will not be scored. Prior to testing all students will be required to place their phones and other electronic devices in their purse or backpack or at a designated collection site during testing, but will not be able to access their purse/backpack, even during breaks, going to the restroom, etc. until they have completed testing.
